When it comes to dentistry, using the latest technology doesn’t just allow us to provide you with precise treatment results. It also creates more comfortable experiences every time you visit. Whether you need gum disease treatment, a dental crown, or you’re looking into investing in dental implants, each of our instruments can help streamline the process. Take a look at some of the advaced dental technologies in White Marsh that we use below.

Digital Dental Impressions with CEREC

Putty impressions are no longer necessary with our digital impression system. We’re able to create a 3D blueprint of your mouth that we can then transfer to our CEREC in-house milling machine to craft customized dental crowns. We can also use these digital impressions to create other dental restorations and appliances, like nightguards. The process is fast, discomfort-free, and far more precise than traditional putty impressions.

CT/Cone Beam Scanner

Our cone beam CT scanner allows us to capture a detailed visual of the entire facial structure, allowing our dentists to view the location of facial nerves and the sinuses, jawbone density, and more. This is a necessary device when it comes to more extensive procedures like dental implant placement, as it allows our in-house periodontist to secure your implants with a lower risk of post-operative complications. This device is also helpful when it comes to viewing jawbone erosion caused by gum disease, and much more.

Soft Tissue Laser

From frenectomies to gum recontouring, our soft tissue laser eliminates the need for a scalpel and sutures in addition to killing bacteria on-contact. As a result, patients are able to enjoy shorter recovery times, a lower chance of post-operative infection, and less discomfort during the healing process. This pen-like device emits a small beam of light that can precisely remove soft oral tissue with minimal pain, making it a necessary instrument since we prioritize our patients’ comfort!
